Brief Project Description

This project will demonstrate both forward and inverse kinematics using an Etch A Sketch® as a 2-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) manipulator with prismatic-prismatic (PP) format. The end effector, in our case, will be located at the drawing point. We will command our project to draw a certain shape or curve, and compute the kinematics necessary to create that drawing. This blog will describe, in detail, how we accomplished this demonstration.

We hope that, in completing this design, we may better understand how designs similar to ours may be used in areas such as robotic surgery.
